Fall 2020

This page is dedicated to help you best understand what we are doing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The health and safety of our families and teachers are our priority. For this reason we have put some new procedures into place. We will continue to run our small In-Studio classes as long as it is safe and the CDC and local and federal governments allow such classes. In order to create a clean and sanitized Studio all adults in the Studio wear a face covering and the Studios are cleaned and sanitized between each group. We also offer tools to sanitize during class if needed. We continue to offer our quality programming and have limited our group sizes. See each class description for size details. We have also limited each family to one adult per child in our parent-child classes.

Movement and Exploration

Classes will be capped at 5 families per class. Only one adult may attend per child. Adults are asked to have their temperature taken upon arrival, wear a mask during class, and sanitize their hands often. If attending adult or child are not feeling well, we ask that you stay home. Due to current restrictions we are unable to offer make-up classes.

If the CDC or local or federal governments require us to stop offering In-Studio classes, families will immediately switch to:

  1. One studio to go box per week
  2. One weekly email with Montessori parenting tips and activities for home as well as any class preparation required.
  3. Monthly Parent Q and A sessions

This will continue until we are able to return to the Studio and resume our in-studio classes or until the completion of the session.

Montessori for Young Children

Adults are asked to have their temperature taken upon arrival, wear a face covering during class, and wash or sanitize hands often. 1. One studio to go box per week
  2. One 15 minute live sing along class.
    • The goal of the live class is to keep the social connection among the community through conversation, books, and songs.
  3. One weekly email with Montessori parenting tips and activities for home as well as any class preparation required.
  4. Monthly Parent Q and A sessions

This will continue until we are able to return to the Studio and resume our in-studio classes or until the completion of the session.

Primary Experience

Class will be limited to 5 children. Children will have their temperature taken upon arrival. One adult per child may wait in the reception area. Adults are asked to have their temperature taken upon arrival, wear a face covering while at the Studio, and wash or sanitize hands often. If the CDC or local or federal governments require us to stop offering In-Studio classes families will immediately switch to:

  1. One private tutoring session per week with Renae (In-person at the Studio when available. Online when in-person classes are not possible.)
  2. One 20 minute live group video class per week
    • The goal of the 20 minute class is to keep the social connection among the community through conversation, books, and songs.
  3. If we are closed for more than two consecutive weeks, each family will receive an individual lesson plan with interactive links for continuing the learning at home. This will include an observation journal for parents to record notes and the teacher to respond.

Baking Classes

Classes are limited to five families. One adult and one child may attend per family. Both adult and child will have their temperature taken upon arrival and be asked to wash and/or sanitize their hands. Each family gets one baking set to use during class. All items are baked in disposable pans. All tools are sanitized between classes. All adults are required to wear a face covering while at the Studio. Class time is limited to 45 minutes.
