STEM Teacher
Studio June seeks STEM teachers looking to work with children 3-6 years. Studio June is a Montessori parent and child education studio that is dedicated to building community and supporting parents and children through the implementation of the Montessori philosophy. We offer weekly classes for parents with children from birth to six years old in our prepared environments. We aim to help parents understand the Montessori philosophy and how it can support their parenting style at home and guide them in their education choices for their children.
Our studio needs happy teachers who enjoy working with young children, have a strong interest and background in science and/or engineering, and want to work part-time. These positions have opportunities to grow with our Studio and create new experiences for parents and children.
These positions are part-time, contract positions to teach classes that meet one or more days each week. Must be willing to work after school and weekend hours.
Duties include:
Setup and Maintenance of the environment
Present materials and concepts to the children in the class
Communicate with parents as needed
Communicate with the Studio Director as needed
Attendance at faculty meetings
Be an ambassador of the Studio

About Studio June
We are Houston’s only Montessori Parent and Child Education Center and Home store. We offer classes and products to support families with young children as they learn about Montessori education and how it can benefit their parenting journey and lives.
Studio June is seeking birth to three and three to six Montessori trained teachers who want to get Montessori to more families. We are looking for joyous and team oriented teachers who are excited about sharing their knowledge of Montessori with parents, building community with small groups of children, and creating a positive learning environment for children and parents.
At Studio June you have the opportunity to work individually with students, side-by-side with parents, and in collaboration with other educators. Our Studio has a focus on building community while sharing authentic Montessori practices. Teachers lead quarter and semester long classes and can work from 2 to 30 hours a week, depending on availability and schedules.
We are committed to supporting our teachers, who are often parents, by allowing for school-aligned breaks, later start times to accommodate their child’s drop off, and family discounts for Studio classes.
